Slightly more engaging or at least memorable than the last, plus the addition of young Tommy Lee in the form of Josh Brolin is a fun exercise, like an old Star Trek episode.

Will Smith's career kicked into overdrive with the first film, while Tommy Lee Jones' continued to shine, so it took a good while for the sequels to happen. Expectations were intensified after the sophomore slump, and a thicket of backstage wrangling, rewrites, and reboot rumors drug the timeclock out more. Ultimately, the two stars, director, and new addition Josh Brolin finally synched up and suited up.
